Are you a fan or a patriot? How do you vote in the African Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA)? Is it about where you come from or about pure appreciation of excellence. Art – music, to be specific – can get you to question were you really belong. Music can get in so deep that your inner man, so to speak, is conflicted with everything else about you. Amid AEAUSA votes, fans are using social platforms to try and win votes for their favorite nominees. In their campaign, some fans are trying to persuade voters to support fellow countrymen. Again, will you vote for merit or loyalty?
According to the AEAUSA website the purpose of the awards is to uplift African entertainment and to unite Africans among other things. The point if to unify, not to divide. It’s about Africa and no the individual countries. For instance, a Nigerian can vote for Zimbabwe’s Jah Prayzah, Winky D or Sha Sha. At the same time, a Zimbabwean can vote for the Naija gospel sensation Sinach or any other nominees. Unfortunately, some social media posts show hate speech. Let’s not forget that the competition is to spice up entertainment and to keep the entertainers motivated.
This the 6th Annual African Entertainment Awards USA and there are more than 30 Awards.
